New openings boost Norwich’s Castle Quarter

Castle Quarter has strengthened its retail and beauty offer with three new store openings.

Following the success of its first store, beauty and skincare salon Charisma has expanded its presence with the opening of a second outlet at the scheme. Charisma has signed a new 15-year lease for a 1,544sq ft store at 14 Timber Hill.

Also opening is Maneki Market, which specialises in Japanese games, collectables, pop culture merchandise and ‘J-fashion’. It has taken the 1,131sq ft unit 93 for an initial six months. In addition, Keiko – a specialist in Japan-inspired ‘blind boxed’ miniature figurines – has taken the 792sq ft unit nine on level one of the scheme.

The openings further boost the occupier line-up at Castle Quarter, which has retained its traditional retail strength while repositioning towards social, leisure and lifestyle operators.

Mark Harvey, head of asset management at RivingtonHark, said: “Castle Quarter’s great strength is the diversity of its offer, something that is given a significant boost by these commitments from Charisma, Maneki Market and Keiko. Their choice of Castle Quarter highlights the scheme’s continued position as Norwich’s leading social, leisure and lifestyle destination, and underlines the success of a strategy that focuses on delivering as wide a choice as possible to drive significant benefits for occupiers and visitors alike.”

Roche and Jamieson Mills are the retained agents on Castle Quarter.
