Spanish fashion retailer Stradivarius has opened at Metrocentre, which marks its first location in the North East.

The store comprises 10,000sq ft in lower Red Mall, joining a strong line-up of international fashion including Reiss, Mango and Zara. Stradivarius, which currently operates in over 60 countries, is known for its affordable, fashion-forward clothing and accessories, complementing the centre’s already diverse portfolio. The addition of another flagship Inditex brand reinforces Metrocentre’s appeal as the premier destination in the region for leading global brands.

Ben Cox, director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, asset managers of Metrocentre:“Stradivarius is a great addition to Red Mall, enhancing the line-up by providing a complementary, point of difference to the existing fashion offer.  That Metrocentre is the only place in the region you can now find fashion powerhouses Zara and Stradivarius is an indication of the destination’s importance to the North East retail landscape; somewhere that creates unique day-out experiences and an unparalleled tenant mix.”

Following a transformational couple of years, Metrocentre has continued to strengthen in 2025, with the upcoming opening of Urban Outfitters – for the brand’s first new store of the year – another boost to Red Mall’s fashion offer.
