St James Quarter has announced that Nespresso, the global coffee brand, is set to open its only Edinburgh boutique at the destination, introducing its latest experiential retail concept. The 1,173sq ft Nespresso will join Level 3’s line-up of aspirational brands, further bolstering the Quarter’s premium offer.

The St James Quarter Nespresso will be a continuation of the brand’s new boutique concept, designed to foster meaningful connections and elevated coffee experiences. The airy, modern space will feature a ‘Coffee as an Art’ bar, where visitors will be able to discover the craft of coffee, sample new flavours including the new summer collection and enjoy learning new recipes with masterclasses hosted by the Nespresso team.

Coffee enthusiasts will also be able to browse Nespresso’s full range of machines and accessories. There will also be a space dedicated to coffee pod recycling, as part of Nespresso’s commitment to circularity and ethical sourcing.

Chris Pyne, leasing director for St James Quarter, commented: “The signing of Nespresso brings another globally renowned name to St James Quarter, reinforcing its position as Edinburgh’s prime retail and leisure destination.”

Anna Lundstrom, CEO of Nespresso UK&I, added: “At Nespresso, we aim to create boutique spaces that bring to life our commitment to innovation, memorable coffee experiences and the craft of coffee, and the new St James Quarter boutique is the perfect place to bring these values to life. Situated in the heart of Edinburgh, we hope it serves as an inviting space for coffee lovers to connect with our brand.”

The signing of Nespresso follows the recent announcement that three leading F&B brands have invested in the prime destination, with the re-opening of itsu, and the signings of Black Sheep Coffee and Pret A Manger.

P-THREE and Culverwell represent St James Quarter. Tom Pope, director of Lightlease, represented Nespresso.
