Meadowhall has announced a trio of deals, with JD, Superdrug and Ann Summers growing to a combined 42,278sq ft in Meadowhall, a top four super regional UK mall (CACI data).
Nearly trebling its presence on Meadowhall’s Lower Level High Street, JD is upsizing by taking five adjacent units to create a 29,225sq ft store, its biggest in the region and second largest nationally. This substantial investment follows the brand’s success at the destination, with the new 63m frontage allowing JD to better showcase global brands, including Nike, adidas and The North Face, within the centre. Opening in 2026, the bigger space will feature dedicated brand and product areas, alongside regular in-store activations, providing an enhanced shopper experience for Meadowhall’s visitors.
Superdrug is relocating on Meadowhall’s Lower Level High Street and is set to open one of its largest stores in the country in late May. The new 10,199sq ft location will allow customers to discover the latest beauty products, alongisde access to ear piercing, manicures and eye-brow threading at its expert Beauty Studios.
Ann Summers’ upsize is also into a unit on Meadowhall’s Lower Level High Street. The 2,854sq ft enhanced store is set to showcase an elevated store design and offer visitors the chance to discover a wider range of the brand’s products.
James Air, director of group acquisitions at JD, commented: “I am absolutely thrilled that we will be delivering one of our largest stores in Europe at Meadowhall. With over 60 metres of frontage in a prime location, I am confident this will be one of our very best stores.”

JD, Superdrug and Ann Summers are the latest tenants to recommit to the destination, following 26 retailers that invested over £30m in their stores in the last 12 months. These substantial lease agreements will only elevate Meadowhall’s Lower High Street, as part of a centre that really dominates its region.”
This announcement follows the news that Sephora UK has selected Meadowhall to launch its first store in Yorkshire.
