iFLY London has opened its 4.3m wide wind tunnel at The O2, joining a plethora of leisure operators such as TOCA Social, Boom Battle Bar, Hollywood Bowl and Oxygen Freejumping. This marks the brand’s first London location and its fourth in the UK, following a successful expansion strategy across 90 sites worldwide. iFLY London at The O2 is the ninth generation of iFLY wind tunnels and boasts a new modular design, allowing much quicker and less expensive build times, generating wind speeds of up to 150mph.

Terry Raymond, general manager at iFLY London at The O2, said: “We’re thrilled that we are opening at The O2 in time for the busy Easter holidays; the gift of flight is ideal for loved ones. iFLY indoor skydiving is an exciting activity that all ages and abilities can enjoy. We’re delighted to bring this sport to London, and in no better location than the world’s most popular music, entertainment and leisure venue.”

Janine Constantin-Russell, managing director at Icon Outlet at The O2 and the Entertainment District added: “The O2 is all about experiences and we’re constantly exploring ways to keep our offering exciting, fresh and enticing for visitors to The O2, come day or night, and I believe iFLY does exactly this. It is an entirely unique leisure experience and one which brings excitement for all age groups.”

This news follows The O2’s stellar trading figures, in which the Entertainment District saw a 44% uplift in sales like-for-like compared to January 2022.
