Shaftesbury Capital has announced that Story Cellar, the second restaurant venture from two Michelin Star chef Tom Sellers, has now opened in Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden. Located at 17 Neal’s Yard, the 1,700sq ft Parisian inspired rotisserie style restaurant, welcomes Stephen Naylor as head chef and specialises in rotisserie chicken, while boasting an expansive wine programme.

Story Cellar is a continuation of Seller’s first restaurant, Restaurant Story, and features a concise menu of house-cured charcuterie and classic dishes interpreted by him, alongside its primary focus of rotisserie chicken.

Story Cellar features an expansive walk-in wine cellar supported by a Coravin system, offering guests the opportunity to try rare and exceptional wines by the glass, which would usually only be available in full bottle format. There is also the option for guests to store their own personal wine collections at the restaurant, cared for by a world-class sommelier team. Offering 50 covers, guests can choose to dine beside the walk-in wine cellars, or at the counter-style seating that look out on to Seven Dials’ iconic Neal’s Yard.

Michelle McGrath, executive director, Shaftesbury Capital, commented: “It is a real testament to the strength of the food offer within Covent Garden that an innovative and exciting chef such as Tom Sellers, with two Michelin stars, has opened his new restaurant in the heart of Neal’s Yard. Story Cellar will contribute to the destination’s culinary community and all-day, high-quality restaurant offering.”

The opening of Story Cellar follows the recent announcement that Crudo Cevicheria, London’s first build-your-own cevicheria, is set to open in Seven Dials later this year. Located at 36 Monmouth Street, Crudo Cevicheria will bring to life its experimental menu with ceviche-inspired flavours, in its 362sq ft space spanning two floors. These two new arrivals add to a series of foodie openings in 2022, including boutique gelateria ANITA, Danish bakery Ole & Steen, and brand-new dining concept St Martin’s House.
