Next’s new concept store, which opened at the Trafford Centre earlier this year, is proving to be a big hit according to Trafford Centre asset manager Pradera Lateral. Russell Loveland, director of UK asset management at Pradera Lateral, said: “Next is a hugely favoured retailer at Trafford Centre and UK-wide and we were certain that this new concept store would be hugely popular at the centre, now proven by the footfall figures.
“It is great to see one of our existing retailers investing in Trafford Centre and themselves by expanding
and upscaling their product offering. We are always looking to support our retailers, and new brands,
in their evolution and we look forward to seeing our visitors’ reactions.”
Following a seven-month renovation, the store has grown by 20,000sq ft to 54,000sq ft, expanding into
neighbouring units on both the upper and lower malls of the centre. Menswear and womenswear
have swapped floors, giving the Trafford Centre store one of the largest menswear departments
    across the Next portfolio.
Alongside a range of upgrades, including new stonework, the introduction of different digital formats
and additional glass windows to allow more natural light, there is also a large home department and
Gap store. The existing Costa Coffee concession remains and has also undergone its own re-fit.
