New style store for The Body Shop at Silverburn

The Body Shop has launched its first “Changemaking Workshop” style store in Glasgow, having chosen Silverburn for its west coast launch.

The inspiration for the new store concept is loosely based on founder Anita Roddick’s kitchen which she used to establish The Body Shop in the 1970s. It promotes sustainability, acting as a hub for the local community and emphasising the brand’s values around community fair trade ingredients, activism and fighting for a fairer, more beautiful world.

The refreshed, colourful new store includes a striking feature sink in the middle of the store, a consultation table and interactive assets, including a dedicated skin and make up consultation area, recycling boxes and hero bays to emphasise The Body Shop’s most loved products. The refill station has also made a comeback.

David Pierotti, general manager of Silverburn, said: “The Body Shop has been a part of Silverburn for nearly 16 years and has always been a guest favourite which is why we are so pleased to see it invest in this brilliant new concept store.

“The new design is rooted in sustainability and community, both of which are very important to us and to our guests. We know it is going to be a hit.”

Store manager, Tracey Houston, added: “We are really excited to unveil this new concept in Glasgow. A lot of work and time has gone into curating the design which is inspired by social change. We want to create an environment that gives customers a great experience and we know that our Silverburn regulars will love it.”
